The name contains “mora”, which marks a sub-settlement — a hamlet that grew out of a parent hatti and kept the parent’s name with a qualifier attached.
So Bikke mora hatti is a smaller settlement within Thodha Naadu rather than a hatti in the older sense. The reference still lists it among the hattis, because that is how members name it and how the hatti picker records it.

Villages named from the same stem are often related by migration or by a shared ancestor, which makes them a plausible place for a family connection to have come from.

Where this information comes from
The hatti list is compiled from the “Badaga Hattis by Seeme” master list, itself drawn from Nakku Betta magazine (late 1970s, ed. K.H. Madha Gowder) by Wg Cdr Bellie Jayaprakash, with community corrections layered on. Entries are still being validated with elders in the community, so a spelling or a seeme may yet be corrected. If you know this hatti better than this page does, we would rather hear from you.
